When we think of using our website to get more leads we tend to still think in terms of using the Web to promote our website. Sometimes we need to think ‘outside the box’ and open ourselves up to other less ‘techie’ methods to really get the maximum return.
I am not saying we neglect all the well known Web techniques, such as SEO, PPC, Banner ads and so on but when we get started thinking about using our websites we sometimes have blinders on to other more traditional ways of promoting our website that are very inexpensive.
1.      List your website on all your printed materials
It is surprising how many times people who have spent quite a bit of resources on their website will fail to even mention it on some pretty standard printed materials such as.
·         Golf score cards
·         Restaurant menus or take out menu
·         Newspaper ads
·         Receipt for purchase
·         Coupons
·         Door hangers
You get the idea and the beauty of all this is it is relatively FREE
2.      Whenever you print your website URL give people a reason to visit
·         Web only discount coupon
·         How to do something that is downloadable
·         Advice on a hot button issue in your industry
·         Provide a picture or example of service or how to use your product

3.      Put your web address on your product
This would be so someone could get more information about the product, get information how to use it, get repairs or get another one.

4.      Put your website address on the signature section of each email. Many email clients have a way of attaching to every email sent your signature and this could and should contain your website address.

5.      Use your website to help deliver your services or help understand the product.

Do this even if you don’t have to because once on your website you may have more of a chance of keeping the customer and up sell additional services or products.
